NEW Advanced MSn Scan Functions Power the ITQ Series
The ITQ Series features new MSn scan functions designed to improve performance and enhance the ease of use of the system. These new features are standard on the ITQ 1100 system, and are included with the MSn option for the ITQ 700 and the ITQ 900 systems.
Automated Collision Energy (ACE): Patent-pending ACE is a new function designed to greatly simplify the use of MS/MS by making optimization of collision energy automatic. Now the power of MSn is easier and more routine. ACE automatically calculates an estimated optimal collision energy based on product ion m/z and damping gas flow rtes. ACE then runs at three energies across each scan - the optimal plus one lower and one higher energy. ACE covers all of the bases every time you run MSn. Plus, any changes to precursor ion or damping gas flows are automatically considered, eliminating the need to re-optimize your method every time a change is made.
Three collision energies in each scan ensures optimal precursor ion fragmentation and product ion production
Easily apply the power of MSn for routine use
Offers a simplified starting point for manual methods
Pulsed Q Dissociation Mode (PQD): PQD was originally developed for use on Thermo Scientific liquid chromatography-linear ion trap mass spectrometers. For the first time, this patented technique is now available for the ITQ Series. PQD is used during MSn experiments to improve the overall spectral quality, particularly in the low mass range. This allows you to see low m/z fragments that are usually excluded from standard collision induced dissociation (CID) spectra.
Generate information-rich mass spectral data, even in the low mass range
Eliminates low-mass cutoff
Produces precise, reproducible fragmentation
ITQ Series Highlights
External Ionization Ion Source: Standard on all ITQ systems, with independently-controlled heating from 125 to 300 oC for stable operation and superior chromatographic integrity. Plus, spectral integrity is enhanced when ionization takes place external to the trap, and the system stays cleaner longer, for improved uptime and longer periods between cleaning.
Quadrupole Ion Trap Mass Analyzer: Unit mass resolution throughout the mass range, with durable inert materials for long life. Patented automatic gain control ensures that the ion trap is always filled with the optimum number of ions.
Detection System: Digital electronic noise discrimination enhances sensitivity, and a post acceleration + 10 kV conversion dynode offers efficient positive and negative ion detection.
ITQ Series Options and Upgrades
MSn with ACE and PQD: Standard on the ITQ 1100, MSn with ACE and PQD is a powerful option for both ITQ 700 and ITQ 900. Routinely test for compounds in matrix that cannot typically be detected with other GC/MS techniques.
Direct Sample Probe: Directly analyze solids or liquids without chromatographic separation and without moving the GC by using the Direct Sample Probe. This option is available for all systems.
Vacuum Probe Interlock: Restore system performance, change from EI to CI, or use the direct sample probe, all without venting the instrument using the Vacuum Probe Interlock. The VPI is standard on the ITQ 1100 and is an option for the ITQ 700 and ITQ 900
Chemical Ionization: Use chemical ionization for added selectivity and sensitivity. Both positive and negative chemical ionization modes are supported, and digital reagent gas flow control ensures method stability and reproducibility. CI is available as an option for the ITQ Series.
