The iCAP 6000 Series is a revolutionary new instrument design from Thermo Fisher Scientific and has been developed using the very best of current technology, resulting in many unique features.

To ensure efficient and reliable instruments, full use has been made of the latest computer aided design packages such as Design For Assembly (DFA), Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Integrated structural castings are used for the first time on every ICP spectrometer design to ensure precise location of components and the mechanical strength and stability necessary for excellent long term optical stability.

A revolutionary new close coupled, optical design with orthogonal fore optics is used which increases the amount of light reaching the detector.
The instruments feature a new design of “plug and play” semi-demountable torch. Simply pushing the torch into place in the torch compartment will automatically make the gas connections and align it with the optical system.
In addition to the standard aqueous system, optional sample introduction kits are available for organics, high solids and samples containing hydrofluoric acid.
